The Aratrum was a large immigration vessel that was introduced in the 2017 Godzilla film, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, and reappeared in the film's 2018 sequels, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, and Godzilla: The Planet Eater.

The ship was captained by Unberto Mori, who, alongside the Committee, all worked together as a collective to ensure the betterment and survival of the three species on the ship. Those being Human, the Exif, and the Bilusaludo.

Appearance[]

The Aratrum bore a relatively bare appearance, featuring a gray, square build. The circular placement of the ship's engines was a defining feature, with eight being placed around the aft of the ship.

History[]

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters[]

First seen orbiting Tau-e, the Aratrum brought the remaining population back to Earth. Following the return to Earth, it would remain in orbit around the planet, with the only means of returning to it being the landing ships, which were mostly destroyed by Godzilla Earth, following his awakening.

Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle[]

Following Godzilla's reawakening, the Aratrum remained in orbit, and would take in three survivors of the prior attack. The crew of the ship would maintain overwatch on the campaign against Godzilla with the use of Mechagodzilla City.

Godzilla: The Planet Eater[]

After the fall of Mechagodzilla City, the Aratrum would remain in Earth's orbit. With the situation around Mechagodzilla City developing, a rebellion by the Bilusaludo resulted in the ship's power being cut off. Metphies and Endurph would later summon Ghidorah, who would appear in a singularity above the massive starship. With the power cut off and the monster's power over gravity being too immense, Ghidorah would slowly destroy the ship, killing everyone aboard, with the resulting explosion being seen on the planet's surface.

Arsenal[]

Exosuit[]

Exosuits were kept in large hangers in the Aratrum for use in planet-side operations. Yuko Tani would tend to them during the film, being part of the power suit team.

Gematron[]

Gematron is a guidance device that's described as not being bound by time or distance, powered from the ship's nuclear energy, which is what enables travel over long distances.

Landing ship[]

Landing ships are present on the Aratrum in large numbers, and were utilized to make landfall on Earth once again.
