For me this will be the ultimate Godzilla horror:
It also makes sense since Burning Godzilla did go through a similar phase when he was melting down.
You and I share the same thoughts lol
I think it is because he is supposed be deformed.
I did not think of it like that, that was actually really smart for you to mention that.
While it is true that Godzilla did a healing factor in the past, it is not the same as his mutated one and functions differently.
For starters, it stated to have allowed him to survive the ancient times which means that his body does not have the same problem as other organisms.
Normal animals [including humans] have their cells slowly break down and die as they age but with the godzillasaurus' healing factor not only prevents this but also allows him to stay in his prime, making him biological immortal.
However, that does mean it can instantly heal his wounds since if you closely you can see some scars on his body, meaning that they do take time to fully heal.
Another thing to point out is that his healing factor actually spiraled out of control when it attempts to him heal him from the operation crossroads nuclear bomb, this points out the fact that the radiation damaged his healing factor.
If he was allowed to heal naturally, then it would act like an enhanced version of a salamander's healing factor which is known to heal limbs, tails and even major parts of organs of them.
In the conclusion, the godzillasaurus' healing factor can heal him various injuries and allows him to remain young, but it does not mean he is invincible as if enough damage is done, he will perish as a result.
That Godzilla drawing is amazing.
