History

Similar to its Earth-96283 and Earth-616 counterparts, The Daily Bugle is a tabloid newspaper. In 2003, the Daily Bugle reported the disappearance and alleged kidnapping of Julia Cornwall, Mattie Frankie and Anya Corazón.[1]

The Bugle reported on the crime spree of Dr. Michael Morbius, via Nicque Marina on TikTok.[2]

Its West Coast version, based in San Francisco, published a series of articles about serial killer Cletus Kasady, written by Eddie Brock. After killing Kasady and his Carnage symbiote, Brock went on a vacation to ponder his next steps as the SFPD was hunting him, inadvertently leaving the Bugle.[3]

The Daily Bugle would publish an article that Spider-Man was last seen in Europe making him reportedly missing, in which the publisher asks if he's "far from home" or returning to Manhattan. They cited that within the span of many days, crime would get severely increased due to Spider-Man's disappearance, most prominently in the subways of the city. As such, many criminals used his disappearance to make easier kidnappings on many of the buses scattered across New York. This in return would lead to a worldwide search for Spider-Man.[4][5]
