History

Origin[]

Peter Benjamin Parker was born four weeks before he was supposed to in Queens, New York City in 2003 to Richard and Mary Parker. His birth was witnessed by his uncle, Ben Parker instead of his father, who was away at the time.[1]

Somewhere in the future, he was bitten by a radioactive spider in which he gained superpowers. Using his power and responsibility, he became the vigilante superhero known as Spider-Man.

Disappearance[]

In 2019, the Daily Bugle published an article that Spider-Man was last seen in Europe making him reportedly missing, in which the publisher asks if he's "far from home" or returning to Manhattan. Many days have passed, as crime would get severely increased due to Spider-Man's disappearance, most prominently in the subways of the city. As such, many criminals used his disappearance to make easier kidnappings on many of the buses scattered across New York. This in return would lead to a worldwide search for Spider-Man.[2][3]

The deleted scene of Spider-Man's graffiti from Morbius.

  • In a deleted scene from Morbius as seen in its first teaser trailer, after Michael Morbius escapes from prison, a graffiti of Spider-Man would have been shown, confirming his existence in this universe.[5] In 2022, the director Daniel Espinosa confirmed that this Peter eventually becomes Spider-Man in the SSU, despite the removal of the graffiti from the film.[6]
    • The graffiti artwork is a flipped screenshot of a loading screen using the Webbed Suit from Marvel's Spider-Man.
  • Spider-Man travelling to Europe and being called a "murderer" seems to reference the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
