Growing up with her parents in New York City, Anya Corazón had no idea that her family was undocumented. When Anya was still young, her mother died.^[1]

When her father was unceremoniously deported, Anya was left on her own. A few weeks after her father was deported, Anya was boarding a train at Grand Central Station when she encountered Cassie Webb, who tried to save her and Mattie Franklin and Julia Cornwall from Ezekiel Sims. Teaming up, the quartet was able to defeat Sims together.^[1]
