HP Scan SDK is intended to provide a simple but powerful scanning development kit that can be used by third-party software developers on the iOS and Android platforms. It enables third party developers to easily integrate scanning components into their applications. The SDK provides a high-level API that allows clients to work with devices and utilize scanning capabilities.
Some Android specifics
For use of the library Android Studio 2.1.2 and gradle 2.10 are required.
For use of the sample application, Android Studio 2.1.2; Android SDK Tools 24.3.4 or later; Android SDK build tools 23.0.3;
Android SDK Platform 23, gradle 2.10, JDK 1.8 are required.
The Android zip file contains the following:
- Mobile Scan SDK Android binaries for 4.4 and later
- Mobile Scan SDK Android sample app source code
- Mobile Scan SDK documentation (This is the same as found in the zip file for iOS.)
Some iOS specifics
For use of the framework Xcode 8 is the recommended IDE, Xcode 7.3.1 is required.
For use of the sample app Xcode 8 is required.
The SDK contains two HPScanSDK frameworks (one for iOS devices and the other for the iOS Simulator), documentation and source code of sample application.
The iOS zip file contains the following:
- Mobile Scan SDK iOS binaries for 8.0 and later
- Mobile Scan SDK iOS sample app source code
- Mobile Scan SDK documentation (This is the same as found in the zip file for Android.)
