12. Air Canada

    I am very much disappointed with the Air Canada service. I had an Exam at Toronto on July 12 th at 1pm. Although, there was a flight at 10:30 am from Thunder Bay at the same date, I booked an early Air Canada flight that was at 5:05 am on July 12th in the morning just to make sure that I reach there for the exam at correct time. The boarding started at correct time and all passengers got into the aircraft and the crew announced the boarding has been completed and will start the journey soon. We waited 20 min after the departure time to hear that they found an issue with the parking break of aircraft. We got out and all had to wait at the check in area for more than 2 hr to get a confirmation from the airlines that the flight got cancelled. The next flight that they rebooked for me was on next day. I waited in the cue to know if there is any chance that they can arrange a flight before that. I even found few seats available for flair Airlines when I checked it. By the time I reach the customer service, they said they can not do anything. It was in a rude way that she told me that you can book tickets for flair yourself. I decided to book the flair ticket since the exam was too important for me. The site got some issues and I guess the seats were not available. I lost $320 for the exam which will never refunded to me.

    I have few questions, they check the conditions of the aircraft just few min before the take off? Why the Airline employees are rude when we explain the situation to them. I lost my time, money. even they had an option with other airline why they were not willing to provide any help?
