Another Day, Another Big Launch from OpenAI – This is Big OpenAI just rolled out GPT-4o, an AI model that handles audio, vision, and text all at once. Imagine an advisor conducting due diligence in a manufacturing plant. With GPT-4o, you could walk around, snap photos of the machinery or the floor layout, and use your voice to ask real-time questions. This model processes all that info simultaneously, facilitating faster, more informed decision-making at the point of need. The A&M Assist team is super excited. Why? The speed of GenAI processing has doubled and costs have halved. This AI breakthrough paves the way for new use-cases we’re eager to explore due to these cost and performance gains. Today's announcement underscores why we at A&M Assist opted for an AI architecture that separates our data and analysis orchestration from the models. This flexibility lets us leverage different models based on specific needs and quickly adopt new capabilities as models evolve in efficiency and affordability. We're using this advancement to accelerate our development of Analysis, Research, and Role-based Agents. These are being integrated into our analysis orchestration framework to accelerate and improve decision-making for private equity and corporate M&A teams. Exciting times ahead indeed. When we started Cherish, I knew that I’d be building the kind of business that would require a different kind of investor. Hardware is hard. Radar hardware is harder still. We did have Physics on our side. And an awesome team. So this is not a knock on VCs, many of whom are dear friends. It's really about recognizing that the risk we were taking on when we got started would make us a better fit for a different kind of investment vehicle for that moment. With the capital we’ve raised, we’ve made enormous strides at de-risking the business. The tech now works. We’ve done the studies and we have the IP. And our strategic partnerships give us enviable paths to market. All while creating value for our investors and believers to whom I couldn't be more grateful. So now we're scaling up for the next phase to achieve our mission of bringing independence and peace of mind to people aging or living with health challenges.
