Pivoting into the future!

Happy New Year, and welcome to a post-digital Accenture!

Today Julie Sweet announced a new growth model at Accenture, a series of organization and leadership changes, and my retirement! This new growth model recognizes that Accenture leads the market in digital services and we have now reached the point that digital skills are embedded at scale across our entire business. It will be exciting to see where you take Accenture as we pivot to the future in our next phase of growth.

The privilege of working with so many talented people, serving so many incredible clients, and working with our global teams as CEO of Accenture Digital has been one of the highlights of my life. The last 32 years at Accenture have included a constant stream of invention and change as we worked with clients to find new ways to improve the way the world works and lives. I’m guessing our new joiners in 2020 will see even more change over the next 30 years!

Accenture has always been about bringing a diverse team with different educational, cultural, and personal backgrounds to solve the toughest problems with our clients. Two of my favorite Accenture Core Values have always been One Global Network focused on Client Value Creation. The power of these values coupled with an authentic desire to make an impact in the communities we serve will keep each of you pointed in the right direction as the new growth model is introduced. I’ll be cheering you on from the side as you take Accenture into the next decade.

I’ll be spending some time at the beach and then launching a new company called Cherish (www.cherishhealth.com). Cherish will creates health care solutions to support patients, friends, or family members with better experiences and improved outcomes. Our solutions will enable independent living for patients interested in aging at home, provide protection and support for patients in care centers, support management of persistent disease patterns such as childhood asthma or diabetes, and provide peace of mind for friends and family involved in supporting your care.

Thank you for creating such an amazing journey over my Accenture career. It’s been my great privilege to work with you. I’ll look forward to seeing you out in the market doing great work!
