Investing in the future of sustainable battery materials 🌎   Together with Decarbonization Partners, we are excited to announce our co-investment in Ascend Elements, a US-based company with a promising proprietary technology that transforms spent lithium-ion batteries into high-value materials for tomorrow’s EV batteries.     By producing new battery materials from recycled batteries, and with lower emissions compared to traditional methods, Ascend Elements contributes to a more circular, less carbon intensive battery economy, making the investment well-aligned with KIRKBI’s Energy Transition strategy. Congratulations to the team involved!

Det sker gennem en ny partnerskabsaftale med Danmarks Idrætsforbund (DIF). Driving energy decarbonization through thematic investments    KIRKBI is happy to announce our investment in AP Ventures' clean hydrogen-focused Fund III, as part of our commitment to driving decarbonization through thematic investments.    AP Ventures invests in innovative technology companies within hydrogen and carbon capture, utilisation and storage, focusing on unlocking the hydrogen value chain’s full potential and role in accelerating the decarbonization of industries such as manufacturing and transportation.    Through its initial two funds, AP Ventures has accumulated knowledge and expertise investing in more than 20 promising companies, making the investment well-aligned with KIRKBI’s strategy to facilitate the transition to renewable energy sources.                                                                                                                                             We look forward to the collaboration!

KIRKBI joins syndicate investing GBP 300 m in building one of the world’s largest storage facilities for renewable energy. With our ambition to invest in solutions contributing to a more sustainable future, we are happy to join a GBP 300 m investment in Highview Power – working to accelerate the long-term replacement of fossil-fuel plants. The investment enables Highview Power to begin construction of one of the world’s largest long duration energy storage facilities – and the UK's first commercial-scale facility using the promising liquid air technology which can store renewable energy for up to several weeks. Providing the grid stability needed to speed up the transition to sustainable energy sources. The investment round was led by UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) and British multinational energy and services company Centrica, alongside a syndicate of investors including Rio Tinto, Goldman Sachs, and Mosaic Capital. KIRKBI er dansk Olympisk partner, og det har vi været siden 2017. Gennem vores partnerskab med Danmarks Idrætsforbund (DIF) har vi støttet de danske OL- og PL-atleter – senest med 50 mio. kr. frem mod atleternes forberedelser til legene denne sommer.     Til vores årlige Summer Gathering fejrede vi, at det hele nu snart kulminerer i Paris. De danske atleter er rollemodeller for os alle - og særligt for børnene og de unge.
