Our team is still reminiscing about the recent Phans Feeding Families Day and Food Drive! We joined the Philadelphia Phillies and the Citizens team to #StrikeOutHunger and collect non-perishable donations during the Phillies game against the Miami Marlins. Get this - one of our chefs from the Philabundance Community Kitchen caught the first pitch of the game! Thank you to everyone who attended and donated nutritious food for the people we serve! We’re so grateful! Check out highlights from this event below!

About us
Philabundance seeks to drive hunger from our communities today and end hunger forever. It serves approximately 90,000 people per week, a third of whom are children and 15% of whom are seniors. In 2016, Philabundance distributed approximately 24 million pounds of food through its own neighborhood distribution programs and through a network of 350 member agencies in 9 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Three quarters of a million people in our service area face hunger every day. Their stories are as diverse as the nine counties we serve: working families hit hard by the recession, women, children, seniors trying to make ends meet. The one thing they have in common is being part of a food system that desperately needs additional support. Philabundance was founded in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Join us.

One in five children across the U.S. face hunger. In our region, that number is one in six. A grant from the Morgan Stanley Foundation is helping us change that. Learn how: https://ow.ly/3tPt50SplQp Feeding America
