Tomb Raider: The Temple of Anubis was an interactive TV game developed by Minds Eye Productions specifically for Sky Gamestar, Sky digital's TV games portal. Subscribers to Sky Gamestar in England and Ireland could play "Tomb Raider: The Temple of Anubis" by pressing the red button on the remote control and selecting the game while watching network channels Sky. Since the service was discontinued, this game is no longer available. The cost of playing this game was 61p for unlimited plays in one session.

Plot[]

Following their defeat in Switzerland, the remnants of the evil OTS cult have travelled once again to Egypt. Seeking vengeance against famed adventurer Lara Croft, they have violated the sacred buried Temple of Anubis, ancient protector of the spirits of the dead[2].

Their plan remains a mystery, yet unbeknownst to them, they are being watched...[2]

Lara's contact has been monitoring the excavation for five days. Mercenaries are arriving by the truckload and the temple is now very heavily guarded. Whatever they're after this time, they aren't taking any chances. They have every reason to believe this could all be a trap. The contact knows that's a risk Lara is willing to take, but wants her to be careful regardless. The contact noted that if Lara doesn't come out, they are not going in after her[2].

The contact asks Lara to look around and see if she can work out what they're up to[2].

The OTS cult seems to be after the Scepter of Anubis.[3]

Trivia[]

  • Ingame help names it Episode IV: The Temple of Anubis indicating that it is a continuation of the story of earlier game Tomb Raider: Apocalypse[4].
