The Eight Trigrams Formation employed by the sorcerous terrorist group Tartarus Lapse had cut Itogami Island off from the rest of the world, obstructing the import of goods. Tartarus Lapse’s objective had been to stir up anxiety within the island’s populace—to then complete the destructive ritual magic they called the Roses of Tartarus.
