Star's sworn ally who has faced down death at her side time after time.
Shortly after meeting Star, the two fell into a habit of sparring against each other, bare-knuckled, without using Quirks. Ethan was often the victor, but it only took a few years for Star to start beating him soundly. The sparring stopped after that, but Ethan looks back on those times fondly. Nothing made him happier than watching Star learn and grow.
The author is a big fan of this guy.
Invisible Girl's (Hagakure's) Gloves[]
1. Simple.
2. Rough n' tumble version. Adapted for anti-personnel combat.
3. The gloves she currently wears, which is a compromise between the first two types. She picks the ones best-suited to the current objective.

We've got another piece of art from Betten Sensei, the artist on MHA: Vigilantes (a volume of which dropped in Japan at the same time as this one)! Thank you, as always! Sadly, I didn't have time to contribute anything to the Vigilantes volume, so this turned out entirely one-sided...
I'm so very sorry. I hope I can contribute something next time!
The Aftermath
At last, it feels like the goal is in sight.
Usually I don't think too hard as I'm drawing these characters, but now that I'm at this point, I find myself wondering how many more times I'll get to draw some of them. It's a weird feeling. As I get older, I find myself fearing change more and more. Not a great way to be. See you next volume!
