Considering that he is mentioned and appears for the first time in the main work, is it appropriate to consider Oboro a Illegals character? Megistos86 (talk) 18:25, September 12, 2019 (UTC)

He is fully introduced in Illegals, (Full Name, Quirk, Personality, etc) and just briefly mentioned in two small comments in the main series and it just more logical sense. FirePsychic (talk) 18:57, September 12, 2019 (UTC)
Still, he is not created in the spin-off, and I believe that the category is only for Illegals original characters. If not, then Tensei Iida should also count as Illegals character. He also has briefly presence in the original work (ok, he has more that Oboro but still) but most of his information comes from the Spin-off (super moves, relationships with other characters (other than Iida), his hero life, more personality traits, fights, etc) Megistos86 (talk) 20:22, September 12, 2019 (UTC)
I meant more like Tensei was seen actually talking with Iida while Oboro, has no lines in the main series, in Illegal flashbacks full name / quirk is introduced when we already knew that about Tensei. Full Appearance > Mentioned FirePsychic (talk) 20:31, September 12, 2019 (UTC)
No matter the presence, it does not change the fact that Oboro was created by Horikoshi and appears first in the original work (several months before his first appearance in Illegals), nor the fact that most of Tensei's information comes from Illegals.Megistos86 (talk) 18:06, September 13, 2019 (UTC)
It’s likely that Shirakumo was only seen and mentioned in the main manga because the Vigilantes team didn’t want to introduce a brand new character, who is friends with three existing and notable characters in the series, right out of the blue. As Psychic said, we don’t get to know Shirakumo at all in the main manga since he’s only mentioned and pictured once (in a mere flashback, may I add), with no speaking lines or anything, whereas Tensei Iida is a key part of the Vs. Hero Killer Arc who we get to know the Quirk, personality, etc, of in the main series before his debut in Vigilantes. It would be redundant to consider Shirakumo in the same situation as Iida, and, in my opinion, he should definitely stay listed as a Vigilantes original character. 『  Zen。』talk   10:42, September 14, 2019 (UTC)

Should he be considered deceased? []

Oboro has shown to still be conscious, even if it's only for brief periods. For example when we saw his face within the warpgate when he was visited in prison. Should he considered alive then, considering corpse can't speak?  What will happen if Oboro takes control of his body and meomries again in the Manga - Would he be considered alive or deceased then? Mellowix (talk) 09:53, April 14, 2020 (UTC)

The fight against Gravey made it very clear Oboro is died, Kurogiri is like a "mask" and could be the same with Hood. At the base their still the humans used to create them. If Oboro somehow manages to be revived/regain control of his past self we will make a decision then. FirePsychic (talk) 16:49, April 14, 2020 (UTC)
