—- Movie director in the first Mortal Kombat movie |
The Director appeared briefly in the 1995 film Mortal Kombat. He was the director of Johnny Cage's latest movie before his entry into the Mortal Kombat Tournament.
History[]
While shooting the movie, the other actors repeatedly forgot their cues. Upset by this, Cage refused to continue the shoot and argued with the director before walking off the set in frustration.
Notes[]
- The Director is portrayed by Sandy Helberg.[1][2]
- The character was reportedly going to be played by the famous director Steven Spielberg, who is a fan of the Mortal Kombat series, as a cameo. However, scheduling conflicts made him unavailable.[3][4] The characterization is somehow still reminiscent of Spielberg as NetflixFilm asked if it was Spielberg showing up in Mortal Kombat in humour on Twitter.
