Tourist Trap is the third produced unaired episode of Godzilla: The Series.

Plot[]

The episode opens with the pleasure craft Windfall coming under attack by the Deep-Dweller. Meanwhile, H.E.A.T. headquarters has become a local landmark, and a river tour interrupts an interview with Audrey Timmonds before they head to examine the Deep-Dweller case. The tour boat then follows them offshore when they are attacked by the Deep-Dweller. Godzilla arrives to fight it, but the tourists' boat proves to be a hindrance. The Deep-Dweller soon disappears, and H.E.A.T. formulates a plan to return it to its natural habitat. They begin the mission, but the tour-boat follows them out again, and is again attacked by the Deep-Dweller. H.E.A.T. rescues them, but the tour-boat captain steals a videotape revealing the location of Godzilla's nest, and escapes in the H.E.A.T. Copter. Meanwhile, Monique Dupre and Mendel Craven attempt to tranquilize the Deep-Dweller but hit Godzilla instead. He continues to fight the Dweller while Niko Tatopoulos and Mendel lead it away with beams of light. They lure it off the continental shelf, but are dragged down with it into pressures that the mini-sub can take. Godzilla breaks them free, and they are able to surface successfully. Animal Palotti is able to call the news studio where the tour-boat captain is being interviewed with his tape, but the broadcast is interrupted by a newscast of the H.E.A.T. copter being recovered on top of the building and him being arrested.
