"Terzetto" (はるかなるいえじ,   Haruka Naru Ieji?), lit. A Distant Road Home, is the first episode of the first season of Godzilla Singular Point.

Plot[]

As a festival happens, two Otaki Factory workers Yun Arikawa and Haberu Kato, go to a European mansion that is apparently haunted under orders from their boss Goro Otaki. As they search around the mansion (while Yun talks about the owner and research), they hear an Indian song called ALAPU UPALA from a crystal radio that doesn’t need electricity in a secret room. The lights begin going on and off and they hear the screech of a creature. Meanwhile, young researcher Mei Kamino looks at a painting of a giant reptilian kaiju called Koshira and Tengu like birds in a Red Sea. Mei then takes a bus to a facility called Misakioku, because she was sent in the place of professor Sasamoto. Yun and Haberu then begin following the creature, which was emitting radio waves as it flies. Mei arrives in Misakioku and meets Tssunetomo Yamamoto and Shunya Sato, who explain that an alarm for the facility began going off when a strange signal was playing. This signal was the same song that Yun and Haberu heard in the mansion. Yun and Haberu lose the creature, who flew out to seas, while Yun realizes that the song is being broadcasted in Misakioku. When the two arrive, they are called by Mei after realizing that the Otaki Factory had a role in Misakioku. Yun, believing that they found out they were searching for the strange signal, questions Mei’s demands. Mei tells him of a machine Otaki Factory designed called JJSX Type 1, which according to Haberu, was one of the signal cables that Otaki Factory installed before. Yun and Haberu are later caught by the police and brought for questioning, while Mei leaves Misakioku to find out about the signal tomorrow. Weirded out by the Otaki Factory, she looks the factory up and learns about what they’re known for; Industrial Robots, supplements, accounting, and Artificial Intelligence. She learns about Yun and how he designed a personal assistant AI called Naratake. She then downloads the AI. Yun and Haberu are put in questioning by the police, with Yun getting his Naratake Yung to answer they’re questions. Goro, they’re boss, and the chief come in and tells them to let Yun and Haberu go. Yun, Haberu, and Goro talk about the strange signal in Misakioku, with Goro believing the signal was a UFO and that Misakioku are doing what SETI (Search Extraterrestrial Intelligence) does. The next day, Mei wakes up in her apartment and realizes her Naratake is now installed. Confused and suspicious over Naratake’s odd personality, tries to uninstall it but it gets her to give it a name. Mei, deciding to give Naratake a chance, gives it the name Pelops 2 (named after a dog she used to have). Pelops 2 then turns into a dog like being and organizes her PC’s data. Meanwhile, Sato goes to Otaki Factory to ask for help in finding out where the alarm is wired. He also learns about a robot called Jet Jaguar, designed to protect earth. Goro sends Haberu to assist Sato. Sato learns from his driver about how Goro got caught up with lawsuits because he accused people of being aliens or members of the subterranean race and put up all of his money in building Jet Jaguar. Haberu reveals to Sato that the alarm is wired to the basement, something of which Sato didn’t know about (as he started working in Misakioku 3 months ago and didn’t know there was a basement). Haberu runs into Mei, who was waiting for the bus to get to Misakioku to finish up about the signal. They both realize that they went to high school together, and Haberu decides to give Mei a ride, with Mei revealing she was the one who called Yun and that she is doing research on strange lifeforms (like fish that swim through time). Meanwhile, Sato questions Yamamoto if there is a basement in Misakioku, and the latter reveals there is. Yamamoto then tells Sato about something interesting in the basement, saying that “He” might be up to no good as of late. At a monster summer festival, Yun begins programming Jet Jaguar while Goro gets inside the robot’s chest to start it’s functions. Three kids then see something flying near them, with Yun witnessing it as well. It flew closer to them, revealing it to be a red pterosaur creature. The creature lands on a small tower, but accidentally falls over, due to the tower not handling its weight. One of the kids fall to the ground, and as Yun attempts to help him, the creature gets up and looks at them, before screeching. Sato and Yamamoto are seen going down in an elevator, with the latter explaining to the former that it Misakioku was built many years ago as a military base, and was later left abandoned before they forgot that it existed. Yamamoto then reveals something in the basement to Sato; the bones of a dinosaur
