- —Kraven the Hunter[src]
History
Sergei and his half-brother Dmitri hunting in their younger years
Sergei Kravinoff grew up in Volgograd, Russia. He and his paternal half-brother Dmitri Smerdyakov, the man who would become the Chameleon through the Russian government's Proyekt Khameleon, spent much of their youth hunting together, though Sergei showed a strong dislike for him.
Being diagnosed with cancer, Kraven decided he would rather die in battle, going on a quest to find a worthy opponent. This eventually led him to New York City, killing Scorpion, Vulture, Electro, and Shocker in his pursuit for a fitting end. He finally fulfilled his wish when he was slain by Harry Osborn, who had recently re-bonded with the Venom symbiote.[1]Personality
Kraven is a arrogant Hunter, but cunning, knowing never to underestimate his prey. After he had cancer, he sought to die not as a sick man, but a man who would die at the hands of an equal. Kraven also showed himself to be a spiritual man, as he prayed every time before hunting, as his mother had taught him to do. Kraven also respected enemies who were capable of defeating him, showing that he was ruthless but honorable.
