Ana Kravinoff was the daughter of Kraven the Hunter. After being diagnosed with cancer, Sergei sought to leave Volgograd and be killed by a worthy prey instead. The rest of the family, except Ana's estranged Uncle Dmitri, started fighting for control of the Kravinoff legacy. Ana ultimately killed her mother and brothers before confronting her father, who said he'd give her a chance to hunt him if she could escape Volgograd. Kraven had actually voice recorded this conversation, which ended in a gunshot. Spider-Man, Peter Parker, and Ganke Lee heard the recording and presumed Ana was dead.^[1]
