The Energon Universe debuted in June 2023, as a shared universe with those two licenses, mixed with in with original material, such as Void Rivals. The company's first G.I. Joe release was a variant reprint of G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #1 with the original script as submitted by writer Larry Hama (before it was altered for publication). Their continuation of that original story universe—separate from the Energon Universe titles—picked up with issue #301 in November 2023. Energon Universe titles Duke and Cobra Commander are scheduled to be published in December 2023 and January 2024, respectively.[1]
