  • Ice
  • ¼cup vodka
  • ½cup soda
  • Lime juice (optional)
  • Lime wedge, for garnish

    Fill a glass with ice. Add vodka and top with soda; stir. If you like, add fresh lime juice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Cooking Notes

I know the "soda" in Vodka Soda refers to club soda, but I would recommend seltzer instead since it tends to be bubblier. And the coldest and the bubbliest you can get a vodka soda, the better. (Make sure to use freezer-chilled vodka.) It's an utterly simple pleasure when done right.

'Tis a delicious, light, refreshing vodka soda. Simple to make, just boozy enough for a hot summer night.

Added 1-1/2tsp Pernod
