Mattermost is self-hosted, this represents one of the most important features for our company. While that means additional work for hosting, it ensures that our internal communications remain “internal.” It gives us cross-platform support and works smoothly everywhere. Mattermost makes planning and automating complex, repetitive processes and projects quick and easy.

Review for Mattermost
We use Mattermost at work for maintaining encrypted communication channels between team members in the organization. It's been a good tool to work with as a remote-first company. It also has a high degree of integration with third-party software which helps with tasks like project management, collaboration tracking the progress of certain tasks.

Remove Communication Gaps with Mattermost
In our firm Mattermost serves as additional communication and collaborational role. Our few depts such as regulatory, marketing & sales use it for internal & external collaboration. It addresses some business problems including cross departmental co-ordination between teams.

We use it as our internal communication tool / main messaging platform. We find it to be a very flexible tool that we can adjust for the specific needs of our organization. We use it for all things communication and basically only use email for outside parties. I think it is so much better than microsoft teams and other tools like that!

Control your ChatOps Data with Mattermost
Mattermost is used by the infrastructure team as the main communication platform. It's also used for alert aggregation and chat-ops like functionality.
Using Google Chat before left a lot of gaps for team collaboration and chat-ops functionality. The value of being able to search past messages has also been extremely useful. This product also is open source which is part of the IT organizations values.

Mattermost for data security and transparency
Our operation had employees and freelancing contractors and we used Mattermost to facilitated the communication while restricting the freelancers' access to some specific information and groups. I didn't have access to the product on an admin level, but it was clear to everyone that it came as an easier option to set up.

Charm for a GxP related Deployment.
We used Mattermost during a Cutover management for a healthcare client, as there was minimal downtime. Any minor incident can be massive, affecting thousands of users in a critical state. It helps us collaborate with all teams, Dev, Solution Experts, Process Experts, Project Managers, etc., under one source of truth with all necessary compliance requirements.
- Security: With its robust Security features we were able to ensure our client with GxP requirements.
- All in One Roof: Like big room planning, it enables teams worldwide to work together and deploy a critical application with minimal downtime.
- Automation: It truly helps us automate some of the repeatable tasks, thus increasing bandwidth for other tasks.
- Interoperability: For some of the features that were not migrated and managed in other third-party applications, having a marketplace will be good.
- Mobile App: Having more functionality for iOS, such as an adaptive Dashboard and location Tracking with, let's say, Harmony Protect Integration, is a useful feature for BYOD Device setup.
- Data Import /Export: An API to extract data from other apps or export to other apps will also be a nice feature to have when building contingency plans.
Our team can easily talk to each other and work together. Mattermost has great UI/UX because it's simple for new people to get around. The team finds it easy to use business chat, but I can get it on my phone and use it. Many chat sites don't let you do this when connected to your company's VPN. I like that Mattermost lets people talk to each other safely. Collaboration gets better.

Collaborate quickly without compromising security.
We decided to start with Mattermost as a ChatOps tool to enable fast cross-team collaboration in our projects. We started with a limited number of teams enabled to use the tool. The focus was on several projects to test it as an alternative to Microsoft Teams and Slack.

Best communication tool for every organization
Previously we don't have proper communication tool in the organization to communicate with every team like Business development team, Tech team, Quality assurance team, Operations team , Finance team. But now with the Mattermost we are able to integrate single communication channel and it is now easy to chat or communicate with entire team in single go . It helped organization in saving more time and also information is reaching end user effectively

- Improved stability in the output with proper security measures even while shifting software for outside vendor
- Needed proper integration for API calling features while deploying in prod from staging sometimes the calling function is not responding properly on time and taking more time to resolve this issue
- Proper support needed whenever any issue raised from customers as chatbot is not giving proper response most of the time for most of the cases

Easy to use and chat/call internally
We used to use Mattermost as a form of team communication and organization. Mattermost is very easy to navigate, everything is self explanatory to use. We primarily used it for chatting internally, teams meetings, discussions and keeping track of different projects.

Mattermost does exactly what it's name says!
Mattermost is helpful for employee communications, especially since our company is 100% remote based. Mattermost makes it easy to reach one another, and send messages, files, and more to each other. This is how we communicate when employees are on shift, and when reporting back to one another. Mattermost can also be downloaded on employee's mobile devices so they can always access work communications.

Being an open source we don't have to pay for any license cost and it can be easily used with non-Microsoft email ids of our external consultants.
