phpBB Privacy enhanced access control
 

This phpBB extension provides the infrastructure to implement fine-grained user-defined access control settings based on the credential system of PRIME core for either the whole forum, topics or single postings.

phpBB Privacy-Awareness Support: Personal Data MOD
 

MOD is short for modification, a usual concept for extension of original phpBB forum software. The objective of the Personal Data MOD is to provide information about visibility of personal data to phpBB forum users and thereby supporting users’ privacy awareness.

dudle
 

Dudle is an online scheduling application, which is free and OpenSource. One is able to schedule events (e.g. schedule a TelCo, meeting etc.) or ask for some alternative things (e.g. find out which sort of coffee some people like the most).

Unlike most other similar applications, Dudle offers enhanced access control settings, which minimizes trust assumptions into the polling server.

Clique
 

Clique is a modification of the Elgg social networking platform. Clique provides users with a social network platform that enables them to keep control over their privacy. This includes, for example, fine grained access control and configuration of multiple faces (e.g. family, personal, professional) that can be used for interactions with other users. When posting a data item, e.g., name, birthday or profile photo on the site, the user can define for every single other user whether they should be able to see it or not.

MediaWiki – Reputation extension
 

MediaWiki is a free Wiki software, which is used for many OS wikis (e.g., Wikipedia). The reputation extension provides functionality to handle the reputations of users and ratings of wiki pages. This extension provides a form to rate the revision for every content page.

The average rating will be displayed at every page. Additionally, a special page displays the rating history of a page and average ratings are displayed in the page history. Finally, the user can update his reputation of the author of the revision using the ratings weighted by raters’ reputation.

Prime Core
 

Anonymous Credentials, introduced by Chaum made it possible for the first time to use applications which require an authentification anonymously. But still the classical credentials system made it possible to link subsequent presentations of the same credential which imposed a limit to the degree af anonimity possible for the user.

Identity Mixer
 

Identity Mixer (idemix) allows users to authenticate anonymously: instead of providing their identity, users can obtain access to a resource by merely proving possession of the required credentials without revealing the credentials themselves.

MediaWiki – Privacy enhanced access control extension
 

MediaWiki is a free Wiki software, which is used for many OS wikis (e.g., Wikipedia). For some purposes there may be a need for adjusted acess rights for pecific wiki pages to enhance the privacy of the user. This extension enhances MediaWiki by allowing fine-grained, user-controlled access control to wiki pages. Using the PRIME core, the access control may be based on anonymous credentials and all released data is logged within a data track. After having installed the extension, an additional “edit policy” tab is added to Wikipages. Naturally, it can be seen as a reference implementation, how the PRIME core can be used.

Pri-views
 

Pri-views is a tool that allows, given a relation table, to produce views (vertical fragments) over it, in such a way to protect the privacy of possible sensitive information while providing maximal visibility over the data.

Over-encrypt
 

This project provides a secure solution for data sharing capabilities in an outsourcing scenario where the storage service provider is trusted neither for data confidentiality nor for enforcing access control functionalities. iOverEncrypt is a prototype of a save and privacy-aware client-server web application, designed by the Universities of Bergamo and Milano. The strong points of this solution lie in the scalability and efficiency of the data outsourcing mechanism, and in the decentralized management of access control policies and their evolution.
