Brief outline of the game

2D arcade action platform game, for up to four players, in which a group of heroes are the last hope for defending Atlantis.

Content specific issues

This game features moderate violence, which is either directed at pixelated human-like or fantasy characters. Violence and reactions to violence are unrealistic: enemies flash when hit and break apart when defeated. While there is no realistic injury detail as a result of violence, some characters have designs which already include wounds. For example, one notable zombie-like enemy has its intestines hanging from a stomach wound.

Survival horror DLC for Alan Wake 2, which includes several self-contained stories featuring characters from the Alan Wake franchise, in the format of a 'Twilight Zone' inspired television show, 'Night Springs'.

Content specific issues

This game features strong and realistic violence towards human characters. When shot, they jerk backwards with copious blood sprays, after which they fall to the ground and remain there. When shot at close-range, dismemberment can occur, accompanied by large amounts of blood splatter with blood stains appearing on the screen. The game also includes use of strong language ('fuck') as well as milder terms including 'shit'.

Other issues

The player's character may pick up items which help them in gameplay. One of these items is painkillers, which provides healing to the player. The majority of the game is spent navigating through either dimly lit buildings or wooded areas with only a torch to provide illumination. The torch can also be used to render an attacking character vulnerable to firearm attacks: when directly shone at a character it will cause disorientation. The game contains various jump scares throughout.
