Brief outline of the game

Survival-horror game set in 1916 during the Great War in which the player takes on the role of a lone French soldier searching for his missing-in-action brother.

Content specific issues

This game contains depictions of strong, realistic-looking violence towards human and animal characters. The player can attack human enemies with various different weapons which cause the enemy to let out a cry of pain and cause blood spray effects to come out from their body. Upon death, the enemy will fall to the ground in a pool of blood. When the player is hit by an attack, they will flinch while a small puff of blood will spray from them. This game also contains depictions of non-realistic looking violence towards human and animal characters. After taking damage, the player will fall to the ground and blood will begin pooling before the screen turns fully red, at which point a game over screen is displayed. This game also features sustained depictions of death and injury to human characters. The majority of gameplay relates to violence where the player will explore the environment, and attack and kill enemies. This game contains use of strong language (fuck), as well as milder terms such as ‘shit’ and ‘bastards'.

Other issues

Cigarettes are featured throughout the game as currency. There is an NPC in each chapter which requests a cigarette from the player and can be seen smoking it if the players chooses to give them one. The player at no point can smoke any of their cigarettes. The game includes two types of medical drugs, one which is named ‘stimulants’ which are depicted as little white pills and there is also a syringe of morphine. Both of these can be used for a positive benefit with no downsides to the player, there is no animation of the player using these items. This game also contains disturbing images. There are sequences in the game where a large number of corpses are seen on the ground or slumped over.
