Pickup Options

Exclusions and Conditions: Lowe’s will email or text you when your order is ready for pickup. Qualifying orders are generally available for pickup within three hours of placing your order. However, certain factors may result in delays, so you should wait for notification from Lowe’s telling you that your items are ready for pickup. If you’re not sure what the usual pickup time is for your item, please contact your store for information.

Conditions: 

Items will be available for pickup during normal store hours. Consult your store’s page on Lowes.com for applicable store hours. Unless we notify you otherwise, orders placed four hours before closing will be available for pickup the following day.

You can place an order for pickup with multiple stores in the same order. While shopping online, you’ll be shown a screen to select multiple stores to satisfy your order for pickup. Select the stores you wish to pick up your order from, and the checkout screen will reflect the items and each store where your orders should be picked up. This information will also be reflected in your email confirmation.

Buy Online, Store Pickup lets you make purchases through Lowes.com or the Lowe’s mobile app and pick them up at a local Lowe’s store at no extra charge. If all items aren’t available for pickup in one store, you may be able to select multiple stores for pickup.

To place a curbside order using Buy Online, Store Pickup:

• Shop and when you’re ready to order, choose FREE Pickup.

• During checkout, select your preferred pickup method and accept text messages if you’d like to receive order status updates via text.
  
• Wait until you’ve received an email, text or app notification that your order is ready. If you placed an order for pickup at multiple stores, you’ll receive separate emails notifying you when items are ready for pickup at each store.
  
• Once your order is ready for pickup, start your three-step check-in process.

1. Select Check In. Confirm your pickup method preference and tell us you’re on the way. We’ll start preparing your order.
   
2. Head to the store.
   
• In-Store Pickup: Follow your store’s signs to the dedicated pickup location.
  
• Curbside Pickup: Park in an open curbside spot.
3. Select I’m Here once you’re at your pickup location to notify our associates to receive your order.
• If you didn’t select curbside as your preferred pickup method, your order may be placed in a locker, depending on its size. If your order is placed in a locker, you’ll be notified of the location and provided with a barcode to scan at the locker to retrieve your item(s).
  
• You can pick up your order during normal store hours by going to the store’s designated pickup location for assistance.
  

Please bring your photo ID (state driver’s license, military or state ID) and the order number or confirmation email.

If your confirmation indicates that your item(s) are in a locker, pull up the barcode from your order confirmation email and place it under the Scan Here sign, which can be found on the locker. Your locker door will open. If your door doesn’t open or you need help, please visit the customer service desk for assistance.

Note: Changing stores may impact the status of your order delivery based on product availability.

Once our associates have prepared your order, we’ll communicate that your order is ready for pickup through:

• Emails
• App notifications
• Text messages (if you opted to receive text messages in checkout)

We encourage you to check your order status by navigating to your Order History page. For the best pickup experience, please don’t come to the store until you’ve been notified that your order is ready for pickup, as our associates are assisting multiple customers.

Go to your Order Details page and follow the simple steps for the item(s) you wish to cancel. If you’re unable to cancel by yourself, please contact your store or customer care at 1-800-445-6937.

There are exclusions of product eligibility to ensure Lowe’s provides the best service to our customers. Items that aren’t available in our stores are often eligible for free pickup when they’re shipped from a different location.

If you’re not completely satisfied with your Lowe’s purchase, you may simply return the merchandise to any Lowe’s store in the US. Most new, unused merchandise can be exchanged or returned for a refund with proof of purchase within 90 days of the original purchase date. Please refer to Lowe’s return policy for more information.

To reduce the time at the store during the return, you can initiate the process online by navigating to your Order Details page and following a few simple steps. However, items must be physically returned to your local store to complete this process.

For most orders, Lowe’s policy is that you have seven days to pick up your item(s), starting on the day your order becomes available for pick up. Lowe’s will attempt to communicate with you to ensure you’re aware your order is ready before any cancellation occurs.

If you have multiple items within your order that become ready at differing times, your pickup window begins when the last item is available for pickup. However, you may also tell the store fulfilling your order that you’d like to wait. You can also assign someone other than yourself to collect your order by navigating to your Order Details page.

Yes, you can designate another person to retrieve your order. You’ll need to add them as an alternate pickup person by providing their first and last names along with their email address.

You can edit or add one alternate pickup person per order by naming them when checking out. Alternates can also be added after order placement by going to the Purchase History page in your account on Lowes.com.

Pickup alternates will need to provide a photo ID (state driver’s license, military or state ID) and the order number or confirmation email. If the email indicates that item(s) are available in a locker, they can proceed with the retrieval process. Help is always available at the customer service desk.

As a reminder, Items will remain available for seven days from the time the original purchaser receives the notification that the order is ready for pickup. For more information, please contact customer care at 1-800-445-6937.

Our associates strive to fulfill our customers’ orders as fast as possible. There are chances that item(s) may be out of stock when an associate is trying to complete your order. Should this occur, we’ll either try to contact you with a:

Phone Call: An associate will attempt to call to talk through your potential options, such as:

• Changing the location to a nearby store that has the available inventory to fulfill your order
  
• Substituting your item for a similar item at the same store
  
• Canceling the order if the options you prefer aren’t available

Email:

• Depending on your order, you might receive an email notifying you that item(s) are out of stock and asking you to explore your options.

Order Details Page Notification: Depending on your order, you might receive notifications informing you that item(s) are out of stock and asking you to explore your options. Exploring your options could provide choices such as:

• Selecting a replacement item(s) from the same store
• Recommended items are based on price and quantity available.
• Picking up your item(s) from a nearby store
• Recommended stores are populated based on quantity availability, specifically for the item out of stock.

• Changing your order pickup to a different store
• Recommending stores that have the quantity availability for items that are out of stock and/or items not picked up yet
  
• Defaulting payment authorization to the credit card or Lowe’s credit card on the order and confirming the incremental charges with the original purchaser; prompting for a new payment method if original authorization tender type fails or defaulting to the Lowe’s credit card if there’s more than one credit card on the order
  
• Confirming that you don’t need your item(s) or order anymore

Pricing may change depending on the replacement item you choose along with applicable state and local taxes. Should a price difference occur, you’ll be given the opportunity to confirm any changes to your order and any refunds or additional charges from the overall price.

If a replacement item is a higher price, you’ll need to provide a method of payment to cover the difference before the order is finalized. If an item is at a lower price, your refund will be issued to the original card used when placing the order.
