💰Grant Opportunity for my Nonprofit Friends!💰 MTV is once again making grant funding available to empower nonprofit partners to produce innovative activations on the 4th annual Mental Health Action Day on Thu, 5/16, a day dedicated to driving our mental health culture from awareness to action. What to Know: MTV is offering grants to qualifying 501c3 organizations to activate on Mental Health Action Day: on Thursday, May 16th, 2024. Our goal is to support organizations with grants that can bring to life activations that reach young people directly, focusing on those that reach communities lacking access to mental health resources. While no idea is too big or small, the majority of grants will be $2,500- $7,000 with a maximum of $10,000. Activations that engage their local community to learn and practice ASK (Acknowledge, Support, Keep-In-Touch | http://asktohelp.com), the new ‘stop, drop and roll’ for emotional support, will be given special consideration as we aim to empower people to know how to respond when their friends or loved ones reach out to them. The deadline for submissions is March 3, 2024. Apply now at https://lnkd.in/eCv_EwhD #MentalHealthAction #MentalHealthActionDay #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthGrant

The Nuclear Threat Initiative has launched a “For Your Consideration: Make Nukes History” campaign today in Los Angeles to raise public awareness about the risks posed by today’s nuclear arsenals and our collective responsibility to build a safer world. As a part of this campaign, we have produced a large art installation at the world famous Original Farmers Market near The Grove in LA which will be unveiled this Friday, March 8th. Leveraging the attention on Oscar-nominated film Oppenheimer, the conversation around nuclear threats will be further elevated by the campaign's billboards, videos on social media, and 1,000 street posters. Additionally, an open letter will be published in the Los Angeles Times tomorrow from top artists and Oppenheimer cast members including Julianne Moore, Michael Douglas, and Emma Thompson. Read the open letter here: https://lnkd.in/ekQCvrgF Join us in calling for an end to the global arms race. For more information on the campaign visit www.makenukeshistory.org.
