Hello! It’s been a while since we said something here, but we have some updates! Last month, our team got together for our annual off-site. It was an invaluable opportunity for our team (which works remotely from all across the country) to meet (many of us for the first time!), connect, and learn from each other in the way only proximity allows. During this time, we looked back and reflected on the past year - our successes, failures, the whole lot. Taking from that, we began planning for the year ahead of us. The expanse of a year can hold a lot, often a lot that is unpredictable. Therefore, while we refined our strategies and engaged in rigorous sessions about storytelling, team-building, and communicating - what emerged was an affirmation to our shared mission of an equitable society. To leave things better than we found them.
Beyond the planning and sessions, we held space for each other’s perspectives, and experiences. Oftentimes, another person's experience can present itself as a great learning for a most unexpected situation and offer clarity that no guidebook or presentation holds within it.
We came closer as a team and grew both together and individually. This reinforced within us the sense of community we thrive on, and quite literally exist because of.
On that note, without you - our work is not complete. Our community is at the heart of everything we do. Your insights, ideas, and feedback drive us forward. We believe in amplifying the voices and issues that matter. That's why we exist. That's why we're here today.
So, tell us: what matters to you? What issues do you want us to run campaigns on? Your input is invaluable in shaping our future initiatives and endeavours. Let's continue this journey together.
