Recently, Joe Speicher and Francis Sun, and I had the privilege of hosting Governor Wang Weizhong and a delegation from Guangdong Province, China, at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco. The conversation centered around our mutual commitment to sustainability, low-carbon development, and resilient infrastructure. Autodesk's mission to empower people to design and make anything mirrors Guangdong's aspirations. We are proud to collaborate with numerous businesses in the Province. Our 43 training centers in China, including six in Guangdong, help companies and students bring ideas to life. Our colleagues in Guangdong are integral to Autodesk's success, and we look forward to supporting the province's growth and dedication to a greener future. Thank you, Governor Wang Weizhong, and representatives from Energy Foundation China and the Bay Area Council for your visit. #MakeAnything #Guangdong #Sustainability

Autodesk's AEC Data Model API, now generally available, is a game-changer for the AECO(Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operation) industry. It opens up access to granular data and streamlines workflows. Arcadis is using the API to drive standardization, experiencing a 60% increase in structured project data. Our customers and industries are realizing the benefits of these data APIs—first, it was the manufacturing industry, and now it is AECO. #AEC #data #API

I'm excited to announce that Autodesk has donated a historic $5M to Howard University's College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA). This gift will fund the new Design and Make lab, opening in 2025, which will help provide students with critical preparations for entering an AI-powered workforce. Today, 41% of industry professionals say the ability to implement and work with AI is the top technical skill they will hire for over the next three years. Giving students access to the technical resources they need is essential for their early career success. This mission couldn’t be more near and dear to my heart: As Autodesk's CTO, my passion for all things tech and AI directly aligns with our commitment to creating equitable education opportunities in STEM fields. By supporting institutions like Howard, we aim to build a diverse workforce of STEM leaders that reflects the communities we serve. Join me in celebrating the inspiring partnership between Autodesk and Howard. #Autodesk #HBCU #STEM #STEAM #AI #Inclusion #Diversity #Education #Engineering #Architecture https://lnkd.in/gnyYSY3W

Last week, I had the honor and privilege to host Autodesk #TechX, an exclusive event for our technical community. This three-day event brought together engineers, scientists, researchers, and designers worldwide to discuss innovations, reminisce about achievements, celebrate awards winners, and share ideas. This year's theme was "Make the Future," and we discussed critical topics such as GenAI and the importance of trust. Our #Unconference format allowed attendees to have invigorating conversations and participate in thoughtful discussions without any presentations. The highlight was giving out awards to the teams with Diana Colella, Steve Blum, Jeff Kinder, Amy Bunszel, Rebecca Pearce FCIPD, Sebastian Goodwin, and Andrew Anagnost on the amazing rooftop venue of our hotel with more than a thousand people attending. We mixed our future strategy with AI, sci-fi, and our aspiration to build a better world... all in Vegas - where people go to dream big! #makeanything #TechX #GenAI

I’ll admit it: I love Star Wars (as a CTO, how can I not?). So, I’m particularly thrilled that Autodesk has teamed up with The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm to celebrate the launch of the latest Star Wars Original Series, The Acolyte. As part of the launch, we’re hosting a contest to design your own 🤖 droid 🤖 using Autodesk software (the newest robot, Pip, was designed with Autodesk Fusion. How cool is that?). Top prizes include having your droid made in our Autodesk Tech Center, put on display at Lucasfilm HQ, and a VIP tour of The Walt Disney Studios. I’m one of the three judges for the contest, and I couldn’t be more excited to see all the creative entries. 🏆 You can learn more about the launch and contest here: autodesk.com/droid 🪐May the Force Be with You💥 #maythe4th #StarWars #MakeAnything

Autodesk's second annual 2024 State of Design and Make report has been published, offering a comprehensive look into the current and future trends in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Media, and Entertainment. The report surveyed over 5k global business leaders and futurists and highlighted the importance of resilience, AI, sustainability, and upskilling in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. Did you know that 76% of professionals trust AI to enhance their industries' productivity, efficiency, and sustainability goals? Check out the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gsVwBJSe Participating in the report launch event hosted at the OneWorldTrade Center in NYC with my esteemed colleagues Steve Blum, Dara Treseder, Ruth Ann Keene, and Andrew Anagnost was an honor. The event was action-packed, with several highlights, including connecting with industry analysts and customers, listening to insights on the future workforce from Etsy CEO Josh Silverman, and witnessing Andrew Anagnost being honored with the Excellence in Industry Award by Thomas Kurfess at the #ASME Gala Dinner. A highlight of the evening was listening to the legendary and visionary James Cameron in a fireside chat with Andrew, where he shared his stories on the importance of excellence, dreaming big with conviction, and lifelong learning to fuel his creative genius. "Taking an idea to manifestation is one of the hardest and most important things, and it takes a team willing to go beyond their physical boundaries."

Sustainability is on our customers minds and they want this early in the design process. Total Carbon Analysis for Architects in our AEC collection will help them track the carbon footprint of a building from planning through detailed design.
Exciting news for the AECO industry! Total Carbon Analysis for Architects is now available in Autodesk’s AEC Collection. These new capabilities enable easier carbon analysis, helping architects track the carbon footprint of buildings from the planning phase through detailed design. With intuitive dashboards, architects can quickly evaluate tradeoffs between embodied and operational carbon. And we’re not done yet! We’ve also expanded our #AI capabilities for #AutoCAD and #InfoDrainage, and more. Check out the article below to learn more. #AEC #Software #Innovation
