Kourtney pulled off another unforgettable event for Purple this weekend! She did a phenomenal job - as always!

We just got back from attending the #canvacreate conference! As someone who strives to connect our employees with our purpose and values every day at Purple, I am constantly learning how to master my craft so I can be the best I can be. I was truly inspired by Canva's focus on empowering organizations to level up communication through visual storytelling. With the rapid rise of generative AI, it's now more important than ever to not only understand what kind of tech is out there, but also understand how to use it correctly and dovetail it with your very human talents. And it was so great to experience how Canva is marrying those two focuses all at the click of a mouse. Here's to next year! May our blazer game be just as strong! #canva #workredesigned

My kindergartener graduated on Friday and then announced that he was excited to start working at Purple. This morning he showed up in my bedroom with a button down shirt and his employee badge ready to go. So I took him. We had a fun visit to the office where Chaylene Hatch was the best office mate and he even got his first task from Jarom Olson. I’m so grateful I get to work at a company who honors my family-first ethos and allows me the opportunity for my kids to see what I do. For me, Purple is the best place to work.

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all the working moms who may be like me and might have found this crumpled at the bottom of your kid’s backpack.

Any tips for working parents to juggle the end-of-year activities?

Today is my 6th year workiversary at Purple! Every step of the way, I have been surrounded by really good people who have helped me develop my skills and taken a chance on me. I've had the good fortune of having amazing leaders who have seen my potential, trusted my decisions, and believed in my vision. And also reined me in when I needed it. 😜 I've had the absolute honor of leading a team of remarkable people who have changed me for the better. I sure love Kourtney Hernandez, Cassidy Vazquez, Debbie Bearden and Kiyah Clemence and getting to work with them every day is a gift. See attached for our laughing extravaganza on our last work trip. Here's to 6 more!

Did you know that approximately 70% of change management efforts fail? In today's dynamic business landscape, navigating change is inevitable, but guiding it along successfully can be challenging. The best advice I've ever heard comes from Professor and scientist on change Thijs Homan who said "The more we try to manage change, the more it comes to a halt." So the secret to change management isn't just about implementing new processes or technologies; it's not even about management at all. It's actually about fostering a culture that embraces change as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Done right, organizations can positively shape their culture and drive sustainable transformation. Here are a few key strategies for success: 1️⃣ Communicate Transparently 2️⃣ Foster Employee Engagement 3️⃣ Provide Adequate Support 4️⃣ Lead by Example 5️⃣ Celebrate Progress Whether you want it to happen or not, change is a constant in the human condition. Here are three easy things anyone can do to practice the norm of reciprocity: 1️⃣ Stop that colleague in the hall and tell them how much you appreciate their efforts. 2️⃣ Offer help when a team member faces a challenging obstacle. 3️⃣ Participate in an ERG or mentorship program and share your skills and expertise! 2 years ago, I was given a huge opportunity. With no prior experience Jack Roddy told me I could spearhead creating new values that really meant something to our community at Purple. With help from an amazing team, an incredible focus group, and support from our CEO Rob DeMartini and the rest of the senior leadership team, we created something really special: 6 values that embody who we are, what we stand for, and how we get work done. Today, I walked into the office and saw our brand new installation featuring our values and got a little misty eyed. I am so SO proud. Each design element reflects the essence of our values—Safety, Communication, Employee Development, Accountability, Innovation, and Community—and serves as a daily reminder of the culture we strive to cultivate. This installation isn't just about aesthetics; it's about fostering a workplace environment where our values are not only embraced but celebrated.
