What are the most important cybersecurity training programs for Internet Services professionals?
You don’t need a CISSP, CEH, CompTIA or any certifications. Your cyber boot camp should be: 1/ Become a proficient system administrator. Take a class and/or build & manage your own hosts. The best security professionals have a solid sysadmin and/or developer background. 2/ Take an offensive security course. Play CTF. You don’t need a certificate - you do need to be know how to break things. 3/ Deploy an EDR and learn how it works. I recommend only top-right magic quadrant EDR platforms such as @Crowdstrike. If you are proficient with the above, you are now 99.9% more knowledgeable than every CISSP certificate holder.
