If XSIAM ia the bee's knees, why does Palo Alto need QRadar?
One word: data. Just like Cisco buying Splunk.
Good point Tom Le! Been multiple SIEMingly interesting moves from cyber vendors recently. Must be afraid of CrowdStrikes Next Gen SiEM.

Disclaimer: I have no intimate knowledge of the transaction, so this is purely conjecture. The press release talks about IBM Security SaaS assets. That could theoretically include more than just QRoC. That being said, almost no company is investing in AI more than IBM. QRoC has one of the most mature ML algorithms out there and there is substantial GenAI progress from a SOC perspective. PANW gets access to additional SaaS customers and IBM's customers get access to the future co-developed IP with a highly trained implementation and MSS team.
