You’re about to launch a digital marketing campaign. What are the best advertising platforms to use?
Start with your optimization variable: online orders? App downloads? Store visits maybe. Then understand what price you’re willing to pay for each. With these two KPIs, you can manage the campaign in any media channel. Next, separate your campaigns by “new” vs “existing” customers. For acquisition campaigns, use your existing house file (hashed for privacy) to ensure you’re not burning impressions on those that have already installed your ap, or bought online. Lastly ensure you are testing creative tirelessly!! So, three steps! 1. Define your optimization variable. 2. Operate acquisition separate from retention and suppress existing names from your acquisition audiences. 3. Test creative! Boring creative wastes money.
