Earlier this week we partnered with the CDC Foundation to host the first Health Tech Hiring Forum! The forum is part of the CDC Foundation's broader Workforce Acceleration Initiative through which talented tech and data experts will be placed at public health agencies across the country. 8 public health agencies participated in the inaugural forum and 600 technologists registered!  Thank you to Brandon Talley, PhD, MPH, Chief Program & Innovation Officer at CDC Foundation and Sue Lin, Deputy Director for Management and Operations at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for delivering inspiring keynote addresses during the event. Feeling inspired after Monday's IRL event co-hosted by GSA, Tech Talent Project on bringing AI enabled talent into government. I had the honor of moderating a panel with Afua Bruce, Raffi Krikorian, and John Bailey and was hanging onto their every word. This wind is at our back on this issue. For the last five years, Tech Talent Project has been working to connect private sector technologists interested in public service with high-impact government roles. Following a wave of tech layoffs last January, we launched the Tech to Gov program in partnership with a group of wonderful public interest tech organizations to provide technologists a roadmap to government jobs. Through the four Tech to Gov virtual job forums held so far, we have connected thousands of technologists with job opportunities at dozens of federal and state government agencies as well as non-profit organizations. We're honored to be supporting the White House's work to bring more AI talent into federal government, an effort that will have a positive impact on the lives of all Americans. 🌟 Yesterday’s Tech to Gov Virtual Hiring Forum was nothing short of inspiring. Over 1,300 people registered to attend the event, representing all 50 states! 🇺🇸 Attendees were able to interact with 20 federal and state agencies and hear directly from incredible technologists who are in public service.
