About us

America needs Eagle Scouts. Eagles are unique. They develop and test their leadership and management skills at a young age, from 11 to 18 years old. The early-life curriculum verifies their functional and practical knowledge of civics, preparedness, and personal responsibility. The Eagle has a proven work ethic that includes authentic respect of others and the environment. An Eagle is someone who has been mentored in the strengths of integrity and persistence. The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) is an alumni association of Eagles. Our goal is help facilitate the opportunities that Eagles have to work with and support each other as we volunteer our time and resources to Scouting, our communities, and our Nation. Our cost-effective plan is to issue a verified digital Eagle award that is hosted and badged to business and public profiles. The badge and its data will allow Eagles to connect, and foster mentoring, volunteering, and career development. Within the DC Metro Area, NESA volunteers host 2 to 3 monthly networking events, and we encourage you to attend (see mail list signup link below). Everyone with NESA-DC are volunteers. If you are an Eagle who can afford to sponsor NESA goals, we encourage you to consider supporting the development of the digital Eagle award platform.
