FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of one-hour trainings on the federal procurement under grants rules applicable to recipients and subrecipients purchasing under a FEMA grant award. These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Procurement Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT).

FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) is offering a series of 30-minute training webinars on the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). These virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Buy America Branch (BAB) and offered on various dates from April through August 2024. The trainings will cover a variety of topics related to BABAA, including roles and responsibilities, best practices, covered products, and waivers.

Climate change is increasing the intensity and frequency of impacts from natural hazards across the globe. Yet, it also creates chances for all of us to work more closely together and integrate planning efforts, locally, regionally, and city and state-wide. This approach fosters larger systems-wide thinking. It can help combine shared strategies and goals and lead to mitigation projects with multiple benefits.

Panelists will showcase a variety of tools and resources designed to provide business and industry partners with actionable and real-time insights for preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
