This device is pretty small but effective. It just plugs into the computer via USB port. You then plug a standard Ethernet cable into the other end, and thats it... The computer automatically registers the USB port as an Ethernet connection to the internet, and you'll get a wired-connection symbol on your internet icon in the taskbar tray.
It is obviously not optimal speed, as the data has to pass through the Adapter first.
However, I bought this as an emergency Ethernet for my Desktop PC, as it has no wireless card and the Ethernet port went bad. It works spectacularly. It was a tad slower, but not by a whole lot, I was still able to download a 3GB game in a few minutes.
This product is also great if you have a laptop that does not have an Ethernet port and you need to wire directly without WiFi.
For NON-TECH people: I literally only needed to plug it in the USB, then into the Internet Cable. And BAM internet. Works and gives a solid speed.
also, it is pretty cheap on the wallet, but its not super cheap feeling in the hand/plugged in.Its good for the price for sure.

Great speed!
Speeds as fast as my failing MOBO NIC! I bought this because the built-in NIC on this PC is periodically resetting. I suppose it is dying. I get the same speeds on this USB network adapter as I did on the built-in NIC (See the image of the speeds I get on Comcast).2 Things to know:-----------------------------1. I had to manually download the driver and install to get the adapter up to max speed. Got that tip from their forums.2. Make sure you are using a USB 3.0 port or your speed will not be as fast as it can be.All in all, I am happy.
