I have several models of TP-Link routers which I have been using for many years including the TP-Link C50 and TP-Link AC1900. Just like the other TP-Link routers, the TP-Link AC1350 is very easy to setup. All we need to do is to connect to the router via Wifi and access the configuration menu by typing tplinkwifi.net We could choose the Quick setup option for a step-by-step guided configuration or manually configure it for the more advanced users. There are quite a few features in the configuration menu including guest network, parental control, QOS, and more.I tested the Wifi signal strength by using the Wifi Analyzer App on my Android tablet in a remote location in the house. . The signal strength is indeed quite decent. It was clearly better than the signal from my AT&T modem / router and a bit less than the AC1900 (see attached picture for the Wifi signal strength chart). The three antennas really helps to boost the signal strengths as compared to other routers using only 2 antennas. The router has an USB port for connecting to storage devices for remote access. We can also configure the USB settings from the configuration menu and set a unique password for accessing the storage contents (go to the Sharing Account tab and select the "Use New Account" option). The streaming of the video from the USB disk drive was quite smooth and have no apparent lags. You could also set up VPN with L2TP by assessing the Internet Connection Type tab. I used this feature to connect to my VPN service providers (PureVPN and Express VPN).Overall, I like this router given the relative decent performance and amount of features in comparison to other similar routers in its price range.

I bought this item because my service provided modem could not cover the full house well enough. I set this up by plugging an ethernet line from the modem directly to the TP-Link router. Set-up was easy and fast. With a residential 150 meg up/download speed there is no bottle-necking or slowdown. We are able to stream high definition video as desired and expected. This is a good purchase that is also reasonably priced.
May_2018 Update: Router is still going strong. It has survived multiple power outages and came back on-line without being reset. The signal is strong, none of our devices have trouble connecting. Most of the devices we use connect to this router faster than picking up my service providers modem. This product has been a winning purchase for us.

Love this router. Set-up was easy and the performance for my application is great.

I did have one issue which was self-inflicted. When setting up, I used the old power cord from the previous router. Turns out it was not letting enough juice through which caused the new TP-Link router to reset when under a load. Once that was figured out and I used the correct power cord that came in the carton, it worked like a dream.

It is very fast, reliable and looks stylish too. I really like the ability to have a long-range frequency and a higher-speed frequency.

Pretty good product. The four stars are for quality and good Mbps output. Did several speed tests and they averaged 216Mbps download speed and average 11.6Mbps upload speed with Spectrum Internet. The only thing I don't care for is the truth about using 5Ghz band. Once you are 30ft or more away the signal weakens. Otherwise it is super fast. And that will also depend on your device's processor speed. Speed tests are attached.

new update Wow another chinese manufactured device that works for awhile then quits I have my 2nd 3rd and 4th compute hooked into this router with 2 bd590 dvd players again tonight it failed to allow any access to the net. I can only say thank you comcrap for a 4 port modem I have now had 3 of these supposed routers and the latest is now failing after 3 weeks. Now I am not a noob to this environment as I am 73 years old and have been doing this since the early 60's just another example of a failed product more junk for the public and the rating is a ZERO Added review 2-1-18 If you want a router that requires resetting every 2 weeks this is the product for you. I am on my third one in 4 months thanks to great Amazon support. I am totally amazed that this product is available with the weakness it has . BTW I started in IT before IT existed way back in the late 60's and early 70's designing and creating networks at the University level and find this product unacceptable in the current market

Internet speed is good even with two people using it on multiple devices. Also, the signal reaches all rooms within our two-bedroom apartment without a problem.

So far so great. I have had success with this and all my devices (android, iOS, PS4, Apple TV's, MacBook's and Windows laptops) and so far none have dropped. This router has also increased my range within my house compared to the xfinity one I had before. Lastly, speeds are pretty good as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful router, small complaints
Reviewed in Canada on July 22, 2017
    Pros:
    - Simple to setup
    - Modestly designed
    - Able to turn off LED's in the Web UI
    - Straight forward web interface
    - Great wireless range

    Cons:
    - Limp wireless antennas
    - Unable to set a secure password

While most routers these days look like they are trying to summon Satan, this router definitely is a lot more modestly designed. For the price, this offers a very large wireless range. Setup was very easy, and it walked me through all of the necessary steps that I needed to get going. I was very pleased to find out that this forces you to use WPA2 encryption by default, the only real standard I can recommend anymore.

We bought this router as the main wireless router for the office portion of the factory. It definitely does a great job, and covers most of the office space (range is about 100 ft x 150 ft in my testing). This includes plenty of walls in the middle. I was able to fully max my connection to the internet with this, which was definitely a plus. We have about 15 devices connected including cell phones, laptops, and printers, and this router doesn't seem to be bothered.

My biggest complaint about this router is that the antennas are limp. It's really hard to keep them upright, and they sometimes fall down. This means they may point in a direction that isn't completely optimal for me. The other problem I have is when setting the password, I am unable to set a secure password using upper and lower case letters, numbers, as well as symbols. I tried to protect the interface with a 14 character password, however it seemed to be too secure for the device. I did also temporarily leave it at the default, and every time I login to the web interface it wants me to go through the setup again.

4.0 out of 5 stars For what should've been an easy set-up, took a few hours

Arrived on time and well packaged, range extender included made the deal even sweeter.

For what should've been an easy set-up, took a few hours. The network itself worked no problem, would not transmit a WIFI signal for actual internet connection. Turns out even after numerous resets and checking of cables, and a long list of confusing and bit misleading help forums I finally decided to call my ISP and ask for assistance. They ran some tests and said their modem and this router were communicating perfectly and after about an hour of troubleshooting and checking specs she concluded both creating same IP address. She said nothing she personally could do but suggested I call TP-Link and request them to change units IP address remotely. I have to say the customer service was very kind and willing to help, the only obvious issue was a language barrier. After about an hour of running up and down the stairs from the router/modem to our computer room finally solved the issue. It's worked as supposed to since.

4 stars(4 1/2 stars if given choice) is a reflection of the extremely simplified instructions and lack of troubleshooting choices, I would simply suggest that if run into same problems, save yourself the time and sweat and frustration, just call TP-Link so they can walk you through setup and finally connected.

1.0 out of 5 stars Impossible de joindre le réseau domestique Kasa
Reviewed in Canada on December 31, 2021

3.0 out of 5 stars Only good for inerent speed below 100mbps
Reviewed in Canada on September 23, 2018
I have this router for less than a month and I am returning it.

The adv on Amazon and description is all for wireless and so attractive. However, the issue is in the WLan (internet speed provided). I have TekSavvy cable 120mbps, and this modem will only provide 100mobs because of the specifications.

If you have internet speed of 100mbps or less this router is good, otherwise dont buy it.
