NBC Kicks Off Fall Programming With the NFL and Snoop Dogg

NBC is truly waiting all day for Sunday Night.

The broadcaster is announcing its fall premieres, and it’s so excited about Sunday Night Football that it’s starting coverage on Thursday, Sept. 5, ahead of the program making its Sunday debut on Sept. 8. Meanwhile, college football coverage also kicks off early on Aug. 31 with NBC’s Big Ten Countdown.

For entertainment programming, NBC is starting its Premiere Week on Monday, Sept. 23, with The Voice at 8 p.m., featuring first-time coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé as well as returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. Zachary Quinto’s scripted drama Brilliant Minds, which is based on author and physician Oliver Sacks, follows The Voice premiere.

Tuesday, Sept. 24, brings the America’s Got Talent finale, and Wednesday, Sept. 25, is all about the city of Chicago. NBC will roll out new seasons of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. starting at 8 p.m.

Following the People’s Choice Country Awards, which air live on Thursday, Sept. 26, The Irrational will premiere on Oct. 1 for its second year.

Thursdays will once again belong to Law & Order, with Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU beginning new seasons on Oct. 3. Found kicks off its second season following those series.

The network will debut its fall comedy lineup on Friday, Oct. 18, with Reba McEntire’s Happy’s Place at 8 p.m. and the third season of Lopez vs. Lopez at 8:30 p.m.

St. Denis Medical, which stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier and Allison Tolman, debuts on Tuesday, Nov. 12, with back-to-back episodes, and Night Court takes over the 8:30 p.m. slot on Nov. 19.

Meanwhile, previously announced midseason and summer shows include The Hunting Party, Deal or No Deal Island, The Americas and Destination X.
