This article is about the witcher in Netflix's The Witcher. For other people with the same name, see Sven (disambiguation). |
Sven was a witcher of the School of the Wolf and a friend of Vesemir and Luka.
Biography[]
Sven was among the group of young boys in the fortress when young Vesemir followed Deglan. They went through the trials together and Sven almost lost his life when they had to venture through the Red Swamp with nothing on them but their medallions. Sven lost his left arm during the monster attack in the swamp.
Many years later as an adult, he returns to Kaer Morhen one winter with a group of young boys and has friendly banter with his friends Vesemir and Luka, with the latter poking fun at Sven's short height.
During the sacking of Kaer Morhen, while he fought valiantly, he was eventually killed by basilisks.[1]
Notes[]
- It's a bit unclear how Sven can manage the witcher signs this way, since it's usually necessary to move the fingers in a certain way to create a sign, such as in The Witcher where Leo lost this ability after breaking his fingers.
- It's implied he uses strong focus and muscle memory to do this, though it's not quite enough to keep up with Vesemir.[1]
