Radcliffe of Oxenfurt was a mage and member of the Council of Wizards, the lower chamber of the Brotherhood of Sorcerers. He was also formerly an advisor to King Demavend III of Aedirn.[1]

Biography[]

Bleobheris[]

In 1266, he traveled to Bleobheris, where under the ancient roots he met with Sheldon Skaggs and Donimir of Troy to attend one of Dandelion's concerts. He spoke words of gratitude to Dandelion for his performance on behalf of the hundreds gathered.[2]

Thanedd Coup[]

At the end of June 1267, he travelled to Thanedd Isle to attend the Grand Mage's Conclave between the Council and Chapter. He attended the evening banquet in Aretuza, and on the next morning, July 1st, he joined the Northern supporters in arresting the Nilfgaardian-allied traitors. While putting Vilgefortz in dimeritium shackles, his assistant Lydia van Bredevoort attacked Radcliffe and Sabrina Glevissig, and there was a scuffle, ending in Lydia dying from her own blade, likely at Vilgefortz's orders. The Northern supporters then regrouped with their leader, Philippa Eilhart, and Radcliffe arrested Francesca Findabair, before he was given a list of Nilfgaardian allies within Temeria. He then led the traitors to Garstang to face trial, where a battle broke out when Tissaia de Vries let the traitors free and Scoia'tael broke in, and Radcliffe was reported killed.[1]

By the end of July, during the fallout of the Second Northern War, Radcliffe abandoned his king when Demavend was forced to flee Aedirn due to its subsequent capitulation by the invading Imperials.[1]

Thanedd investigation[]

Radcliffe was later among those who investigated traces of teleportation around Thanedd.[3]
