Tachibana Kenichi (橘 賢一, Tachibana Ken'ichi) is a japanese manga artist, born in 1977 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. His most famous works is Terra Formars, collaboration project made with his fellow manga author Sasuga Yu, who is in charge of the story.
History[]
In 2003, at age of 25, he won the 6th Manga Grand Prix Award in Young Jump with Potchari Maniacs (ぽっちゃりマニアックス). He also won 26th Manga Grand Prix he won with Oya Bakasutorēto (親バカストレート) and at 30th Manga Grand Prix received honorable mention for Ore no Tomodachi wa Akai Yatsu (オレの友達は赤いヤツ).
In 2004, Ore no Tomodachi wa Akai Yatsu was published in Issue 2004-39 of Young Jump. In 2005 in Issue 45 of Young Jump, he published another oneshot named Three Seven Honey (スリーセブンハニー). Another oneshot named Hana no Bakuchi-gumi!! (華のバクチ組!!) was published in 2006 in Young Jump.
In 2007, he started his first series, Lucky Seven Stars (ラッキーセブンスター) in Young Jump Issue 2007-30. The manga continued until Issue 2008-12, spanning 3 volumes.
In 2009-41 Issue of Young Jump, together with Katou Hiroyuki, he published new oneshot named Shower Curtain (シャワーカーテン).
In 2009-47 Issue to 2010-01 Issue of Young Jump, together with Takano Hiroshi, he published a short series named VS. - Kitakantou Renzoku Youjo Yuukai Satsujin Jiken no Shinjitsu (VS. -北関東連続幼女誘拐・殺人事件の真実-).
In 2011 in Miracle Jump he started a new manga, named Terra Formars, together with Sasuga Yu, who was in charge of the story. Originally Terra Formars published 6 chapters in Issues 2011-01 to 2011-06 (from January to December 2011) in Miracle Jump and one Prologue chapter named Terra Formars One in Young Jump Issue 27-2011. After that the manga was moved to Young Jump in April in Issue 2012-22-23 and turned into a weekly series. As of now Terra Formars have published total 21 volumes and it’s still going.
