Need procedure to up date email that has been transferred to Yahoo from Cox.net Cox stated I can keep my email address and emails will come in through Yahoo. I do not have a Yahoo account which is separate from the Cox.net email address

Need procedure to keep Thunderbird as email contact for emails. Confused!! Please define how to get back to original system of using Thunderbird and automatically open up my emails. Thx

I am a long time Thunderbird user, first use dates back to version 0.3 (yes I am very old :) ). Recently I have started my own domain and introduced a few new mail addresses. Every new mail address I define, comes at the bottom of the list of mailboxes. And now that my old mail address is no longer used, I would like it to the bottom of the list. I have not found how to do that. Can you explain how I can achieve this? Environment Win 10 22H2, Thunderbird 115.13.0 (64-bit). Thanks!

I am reaching out to gain information on ADMX GPO policies. We are retiring Policy Pak which used to add all the policies and secure Firefox for Enterprise. What we noticed is that Policy Pak used the app set to apply these policies and we are noticing that native GPO's for the most part to match the Policy Pak policies is not as accurate for GPO's My ask here is there any Most Viable Product suggestions to apply Native GPO's for securing Firefox.

In "my" Thunderbird app, I see in my inbox new messages in blue color. So also in messages that filtered to "folders" or labels (I don't know the exact term). When clicking on a message its color is turning to black. This is OK. Howeve, when I leave inbox or any folder, All its messages are turninh to black. I would like to keep all of them blue, unless I click on a blue message.

Can you please tell me how?

The Settings Selection "Always ask me where to save [downloaded] files." has no effect. FF will automatically save the file into whatever folder I selected. (As it happens, that is \MyReceivedFiles.) This means I have to download again to the correct directory/folder and give it a new name. Because there is no "Save As" option. I do not have this problem in Edge browser. This exact same problem was posted at "Downloads default to download folder and never ask where to save them. Hello I am constantly switching between Bookmarks and Tree Style Tab in the sidebar. The toolbar button "Show sidebars" is fine for switching between sidebar displayed or not, but switching between Bookmarks and Tree Style Tab is not so convenient : i have to go through the small menu and select either Bookmarks or Tree Style Tab, which is two clicks and a mouse move away, boring when you are constantly switching... Is there a way to add a second toolbar button to do this switching (or have two buttons, one for Bookmarks and one for Tree Style Tabs) ? Hope someone has a solution, thanks in advance. Alain Coste

Everytime I open firefox, I want to make it open start page, not last tab I closed. Want Firefox to respect my Internet billings.

Since you disabled about:config, it is impossible to change it. Maybe some extension could be suggested? Or should I change browser to something more professional and advanced? Cheers!

Trying to recover from a hard drive crash. Had to buy a new desktop with Windows 11 Pro (looking to be a bad move). I downloaded/updated to Firefox 126.0 (maybe also looking to be a bad move).

Have my last "working" userChrome file (it took me weeks to perfect this to my needs).

I am looking for: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

but there is no "AppData" folder. And there is no existing userChrome.css file, anywhere!

Is the functionality I am looking for a thing of the past?

Is Firefox not completely supported by Windows 11?

If so, what is the last version of Firefox that will still support userChrome.css?

I have always had two firefox browser windows open.

A number of months ago Firefox added a default option where it would auto open two Firefox browser screens.

They are always in in the wrong order in my task bar so I have to close one - as easier than positioning both of them.

I want to disable this 'feature' as I'm looking into a powershell way to open 3 Firefox windows on my new 4K in specific positions and this 4th window that I do Not open myself is causing problems.

I've searched thru about:config but can't seem to find the setting to turn this off??

Pages are loading very slowly and jumping around a lot. With each FFox update and Linux update, the behavior is getting worse and the browser and desktop sometimes lock up on some sites.

I'm wondering if there's a setting that prevents web sites from loading 'by parts', or that continue loading well after they seemed to stop. A setting that is more 'static'?

Is there a setting that says "computer" and stops web sites acting like my browser is a cell phone or a TV?

Is there a way to stop sites from 'pushing'?

The Internet is being split into three: networked television, cell phones, and computers. They apparently cannot coexist and I'm somewhat amazed that anyone would think that they could coexist.

Since today, Firefox is no longer loading the previous settings. Every time I open it up, it opens as it was newly installed.

What changed? I didn't change anything in my computer for this to start.

I like to keep my sidebar open with a list of my bookmarks because I have a LOT of them. I have always kept it open and then today for some reason after a reboot of my machine, Firefox will NOT keep the sidebar open permanently. I can see the sidebar button on the address bar, and pressing this button will reopen the sidebar, but I don't want to have to reopen it all the time because it doesn't save my size settings. I have looked at the JSON file where this setting is supposedly stored and nothing looks wrong. I even deleted this file (after making a backup) and nothing changed.

How do I get my sidebar to stay open so when I start up a new window, it is already open and I don't need to use the button or the keybind?

I am trying to set Sort By to Unthreaded since every folder resets to Threaded whenever a compact folder or a search takes place. I have read the solution offered here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1426449 but it relies on preference options and drop down option boxes that simply do not exist on my version of Thunderbird (version 128.0.1), particularly the "Apply current view to..." option does not seem to exist. Perhaps this option has moved? Is there still a way to change default view to Unthreaded? This is making Thunderbird very cumbersome.

Just moved from win 7 to win11. Pity me. Used sync prior to using FF on 11. Sites I remained signed into with 7 now have to be signed in every time with win11. Even if Firefox isn't closed between visits. ex: Youtube, forum sites, etc. I don't know if this is FF or win11 doing it. I didn't change any settings in FF on 11. Any help or direction appreciated.
