The 295 Best Prime Day Deals to Shop in the Final Hours

Illustration: Lewis Osborne

There are only a few hours left of Prime Day, so if you’ve been mulling over all your options, now is the time to check out (lest something sell out). The deals end tonight at 2:59 a.m. ET. This is my third year covering Prime Day, so I know when something is truly a good deal and when you’re better off waiting for Black Friday. And as a Strategist writer, I have a slightly encyclopedic knowledge of our archives, so I know which products are really worth it.

Below, I’ve rounded up all the best Prime Day deals so far. Yesterday, I found dozens of best sellers from last year back on sale, including Vitamix blenders, dentist-approved teeth-whitening strips, and the snail-mucin essence we’ve written about a lot, all of which I’ve included below. I also spent a while going through my fellow writers’ in-depth Prime Day roundups — on beauty, fashion, home, and tech, to name a few — and pulled out the very best picks from each of their posts. (But if you don’t find what you’re looking for in my selection, be sure to read their in-depth guides, all linked below.) I did see a few top-sellers go out of stock, and a few prices went up over the course of the day (the Dr. Martens sandals, for instance, are now about $10 more than they were when the sale first started). All to say: If you see something you like, buy it now.

To help you navigate quickly before the sales end, I’ve broken them out into 18 categories. Use the links below (listed alphabetically) to jump down to a specific category, if you know what you’re after. If you’re shopping on a budget, we’ve also rounded up the best Prime Day deals under $50 and under $25. And if you only want to shop things we’ve previously covered on the Strategist, see our roundup of everything on sale that we’ve written about.

Again, the sale ends tonight, so don’t dillydally if you see something you like. So keep checking back and sign up for our newsletter to keep up with all of our Prime Day coverage.

The Deals I Personally Think Are the Best

While I like all the products I’ve featured below, there are a few that stood out to me as particularly outstanding deals. Our best overall water flosser goes on sale a lot over the year, but I’ve never seen it go up to 50 percent off. This is also the best time to get some Levi’s — our best-in-class pair, the straight-leg Wedgie jean, is over 60 percent off, which is close to as low as you’ll ever find. And the noise-cancelling headphones that I’ve had for years are under $200 for the first time — that is, when you buy them in white, forest green, or blue; classic black is an extra $30.

Best Prime Day Women’s Fashion Deals

As with most of these Amazon sales events, the fashion brands you’ll see on sale tend to be in the basics department. I found discounts on denim, underwear, and sandals from familiar brands like Levi’s and Victoria’s Secret. Among them, I found our best overall women’s jeans (a pair of slightly-cropped Levi’s Wedgies) for over 60 percent off, a pair of comfy New Balance sneakers, and a lightly-lined Calvin Klein bra. And our best less-expensive walking shoe, the Skechers GoWalk Joy, is only $40. For more, see fashion writer Ambar Pardilla’s Prime Day fashion deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Men’s Fashion Deals

For men, Prime Day is usually a good time to stock up on stood-behind staples like Calvin Klein underwear, Levi’s jeans, and Ray-Ban sunglasses. There were also some particularly good deals on outdoor essentials, like a pair of waterproof Merrell hiking shoes for almost half-off. It’s also worth taking a look through Amazon’s in-house lines, which have plenty of great deals on men’s fashion. For more, see Pardilla’s Prime Day fashion deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Skin-Care Deals

There are so many Prime Day beauty deals this year that I decided to break them out into separate categories: skin care, hair care, and makeup. Of those three, you’ll find the most deals on skin-care products. Plenty of reader best sellers are on sale, including Rio Viera-Newton’s favorite snail-mucin essence, EltaMD’s tinted sunscreen, and the extremely popular Laneige lip mask. You’ll also find beauty writer Rachael Griffithsfavorite self-tanner for less than $20, as well as a NuFace microcurrent device bundle for a third off. For more, see beauty writer Tembe Denton-Hurst’s Prime Day beauty deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Hair-Care Deals

Your best bet in the hair-care section is hair tools, including the affordable but highly rated Revlon blow-dryer brush. But there are decent deals on other hair-care products, too, including a hair mask I like from from Virtue and a Rio-approved hair oil from Olaplex. If you’re not quite ready to splurge on an AirWrap, Shark’s SpeedStyle device is on offer, along with Color Wow’s anti-frizz dreamcoat to prolong your blowout. For more, see beauty writer Denton-Hurst’s Prime Day beauty deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Grooming Deals

There are plenty of deals on men’s, women’s, and unisex grooming products. Philips Norelco is our grooming writer’s favorite brand, and today you can get 30 percent off one of their wet and dry shavers. Elsewhere, the Manscaped trimmer featured in our guide to manscaping is also 30 percent off, and Philps Norelco’s OneBlade (a unisex trimmer for intimate areas) is also on offer. And there’s no time like Prime Day to stock up on cartridge razors: both Gillette ProGlide and Flamingo — which we’ve written about before — are heavily reduced today.

Best Prime Day Makeup Deals

Lots of Urban Decay is deeply discounted in the makeup section, including a palette from their bronze Naked eyeshadow range, and a particularly Brat-makeup looking glide-on eye pencil. If you’re into a more minimal makeup look, there’s plenty of RMS Beauty on sale, too. Real Techniques’ everyday essentials makeup brush kit — the building block of any makeup bag — is also reduced. For more, see beauty writer Denton-Hurst’s Prime Day beauty deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Health & Wellness Deals

Every Prime Day, the best deals in the health-and-wellness section are teeth-related — whitening strips, water flossers, electric toothbrushes — and they’re often on sale for the cheapest they get all year. This year, for example, I found our favorite Crest whitening strips (when writer Arielle Avila tested them, she appreciated that they were thin enough for her “to talk while wearing them, unlike Opalescence’s somewhat bulky trays”) on sale for $30. There are several good non-teeth finds, too, including multipacks of deodorant, anti-mosquito bands that look “like a hair tie and smell like a picnic in the park”, according to senior writer Liza Corsillo, and even Moon Juice’s (actually tasty) magnesium powder.

Best Prime Day Baby & Kid Deals

The toys and baby stuff on sale during Prime Day usually goes for Black Friday–level prices, and that’s still the case this year. Senior writer Liza Corsillo has rounded up all the best deals in her Prime Day baby and kids deals post, including an especially good deal on a Willow wearable breast pump. When contributor Sara Gaynes Levy tested nine breast pumps, she found that the Willow Go was “the most comfortable and user-friendly of the wearables I tried.” It’s now a third off. Corsillo also found savings on our best-in-class convertible high chair, Toniebox bundles, and lots of STEM toys. For more, see Corsillo’s Prime Day baby and kids deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Back-to-School Deals

Junior writer Bella Druckman just graduated college, so she knows all the best back-to-school items and dorm essentials. She rounded up a few dozen of the best ones for students of all ages, from durable lunch boxes for elementary school students to the best fairy lights for college dorm rooms. For all her picks, see her Prime Day back-to-school deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Kitchen Deals

There are a ton of kitchen deals across many categories, many of which you’ll recognise from our Kitchen 100 (including the Joyce Chen kitchen scissors that food writer Ruth Reichl has used since 1972 and Stasher’s reusable storage bags). We also spotted an Owala (sorry, not that Owala) for up to 23 percent off, depending on the color. And as is often the case, it’s perhaps the best time of year to a blender, particularly a Vitamix. This year, four of them are discounted for at least 30 percent off. For more, see kitchen and dining writer Emma Wartzman’s Prime Day kitchen deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Home Deals

Lauren Ro has sourced a lot of options in her Prime Day home deals roundup, including the simple wall mirror two professional stagers have used in over 600 projects, a Strategist-approved digital photo frame, and a very cute bath towel from Mackenzie-Childs. There are also a lot of appliances, like air purifiers and a Strategist-approved portable air conditioner, on sale. For more, see Ro’s Prime Day home deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Sleep Deals

I spied plenty of items from the Strategist Sleep 100 on sale. For example, Frankie Grande’s favorite eye mask, which he uses to block the 24-hour light in his Times Square apartment as well as to sleep on planes, and the white-noise machine that comedian Samantha Irby can’t live without, for 20 percent off. For more, see sleep writer Amelia Jerden’s Prime Day sleep deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Vacuum & Cleaning Deals

Vacuums and carpet cleaners are another Prime Day stalwart, as lots of expert-recommended models get discounted several hundred dollars. Not sure where to start? I’d seuggest the Bissell Little Green carpet cleaner, which is always one of the most-purchased products by Strategist readers during Prime Day. But if you’re after a Dyson, a robot vacuum, or a steam mop, our home writer Erin Schwartz has found all the best options. For more, see Schwartz’s Prime Day vacuum and cleaning deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Tech Deals

I always recommend buying a Kindle during Prime Day. However, the kids’ Kindle that I purchased during October Prime Day isn’t as on-sale as I’d like to see, so I’d say the Kindle Scribe is your best bet at 31 percent off. (Read tech writer Jordan McMahon’s Kindle-buying guide to find the best Kindle for you.) Now’s also an excellent time to nab some super-discounted goods from Apple, which are the cheapest they’ll be all year (besides Black Friday). AirPods in particular are selling quickly — the second generation version that we featured yesterday is no longer available, but you can still get a good deal on the third generation — so don’t dillydally. For more, see McMahon’s Prime Day tech-deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Travel Deals

There’s still plenty of summer left to vacation (and plenty of holiday travel upcoming), so use this as an excuse to replace your ratty old suitcase with bags from Samsonite, which makes some excellent hard-side luggage and carry-ons. And on the accessories front, I found the Lifestraw for only $10, a set of waterproof playing cards for long car rides, and a two-in-one USB and travel adapter that one of our writers can’t travel without. The AirFly Duo — a device that allows you to connect your bluetooth headphones on a plane — is also 20 percent off. For more, see travel writer Kat Gillespie’s Prime Day travel deals roundup.

Best Prime Day Household Essentials Deals

Prime Day is an excellent time to stock up on the “unsexy stuff” like hand soap, dishwasher pods, and trash bags — all the stuff you’d rather not pay full price for. That’s not to say you can’t find something charming on sale in this category – such as the ginger dish soap illustrator Maira Kalman told us she’s addicted to, the trash bags one former editor wrote an ode to, or a fancy hand sanitizer. For more, see writer Arielle Avila’s Prime Day household essentials roundup.

Best Prime Day Fitness Deals

So far, fitness trackers look to be the best deals you’ll find in the fitness section (and a not-bad saving on a Theragun mini). Our fitness writer Jeremy Rellosa suggests nabbing his favorite adjustable weights, which never go on sale. And don’t ignore the lower-ticket items: I found good discounts on a Strategist-vetted electrolyte mix and our best overall protein powder.

Best Prime Day Pet Deals

Today I found lots of excellent deals for dogs and cats, including treat-dispensing pet camera that one former editor longed for, a non-ugly cat scratcher, and plenty of treats.

The Strategist is designed to surface useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Every product is independently selected by our team of editors, whom you can read about here. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
