Saurian is a member of Reptile's species that appears as a playable character in Mortal Kombat Mobile.

Appearance[]

The Saurian wears a brown, loose-fitting jumpsuit, as well as an iron chest-plate that has an appearance similar to a medieval chest-plate. His mouth is guarded by a iron mouthpiece, similar to the design of the lower half of Reptile's mouth guard. His skin has a reddish-brown, scaly texture to it and his head has a ridge of short spikes.

In Update 2.0 of Mortal Kombat Mobile, the Saurian's scales on his face and body are more detailed than before with the colors and appearance being more bright and detailed. Additionally, his mouth and jaw's colors are changed from black to grey. His armor is much more metallic than his original appearance and gains a more detailed appearance with new textures.

Mobile Game Moves[]

  • Survival of the Fittest: Outworld teammates receive +5% Health. (MK Mobile - Saurian Card - Passive)
  • Spit: The Saurian spits a ball of acid at the opponent from his mouth to deal damage. (MK Mobile - Saurian Card)
  • Klaw Slash: The Saurian cocks his arm back and slashes the opponent, knocking them to the ground. (MK Mobile - Saurian Card)

Trivia[]

General[]

  • The Saurian is the first playable character from Reptile's race that is a regular Saurian raptor.
    • He is also the first that is completely different from the other Saurian raptors that appear in Reptile's various Arcade endings.
  • The Saurian's design could be based off of the Red Dragon's genetic experiment of merging the DNA of Caro with that of human test subjects and Reptile's genetic material to create a race of Hybrid Dragons, due to Saurian's red scales and overall similarities.
  • The Saurian's voice lines are reused from Steve Blum's portrayal of Reptile.

Mortal Kombat Mobile[]

  • The Saurian, Oni, and the Trooper are the only Bronze character cards that do not appear in Mortal Kombat X's Story Mode.
  • Unlike many of the Bronze character cards, the Saurian borrows all of its combos and attacks from Reptile in MKX.
  • In Update 2.0, the Saurian and Shirai Ryu are the only Bronze character cards to receive an updated appearance.
