John Felix Anthony Cena is an American actor and retired professional wrestler, as well as a former rapper. John Cena is known for his long standing tenure with WWE, performing for the company for over 20 years and holds the record, as recognized by the WWE, as the most world title reigns in professional wrestling with 16, tied only with Ric Flair. His impact and star-power has made him one of the most recognized professional wrestlers in the world, and is often regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
John Cena began acting in direct-to-video movies for the WWE starting back in 2006. After taking on a lighter schedule from wrestling duties, this allowed Cena to venture into other avenues in the entertainment industry outside of wrestling, starring in commercials and other larger production films and television shows. He has been praised for his acting, with him receiving particular praise for the comedies Trainwreck and Blockers, as well as action movies such as Bumblebee, F9, and in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, playing the vigilante anti-villain Peacemaker, and later reprising the role in the TV series of the same name.
Cena reprises his role as Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1 as part of the game's Kombat Pack as well as in Mortal Kombat: Onslaught.
