Wong was a master of the mystic arts at the Sanctum Sanctorum alongside Doctor Strange, when Wong (and presumably Strange) were out on a trip to Nepal, Black Cat stole the Wand of Watoomb in an attempt to get herself back to Paris, France to help her girlfriend. With Spider-Man's help she was able to get back there but when Spider-Man went to use the wand to teleport himself to Mister Negative it disappeared in his hand, replaced with a note from Wong thanking him and telling him that him and the doctor (referring to Strange) owed him one.^[1]
