Overview[]

The World is high-tech, self-contained research facility built by Weapon Plus somewhere in rural England, and produced several weapons with the assistance of A.I.M..^[1] The rate at which time flows within The World can be controlled so that several generations can pass in a matter of days.

Events[]

The Sublime bacterium helped create World, a facility to create Super-Soldiers. The result was to be a team called the "Super-Sentinels", they was a product of a "mating" between his human "Mother" and a machine.^[2] This team was intended to be a publicity stunt that would commercialize the genocide of mutants as part of a reality show. This was supposed to make it more palatable to the public.^[3]

After A.I.M. forces attacked trying to reclaim their proprietary tech S.H.I.E.L.D. occupied the facility, until it's dissolution.

After Wolverine, Fantomex, and Captain Marvel stopped Osborn who was trying to take the control of The World, it was reduced and actually in the possession of Fantomex who now controlled the entire facility. Its production abilities make it a valuable asset and it has been sought after by several malign forces.
