During the 11th century, Thor Odinson - carrying on the tradition of his father - assembled and led a team of mystical and supernaturally-empowered beings that included Iya Nehanda the Black Panther, a Native American Ghost Rider, Bodolf the Black, Gale an Atlantean princess bearing the Iron Fist, an elderly woman indwelled by the Phoenix Force, and Murkfoot the Sasquatch Sorcerer Supreme.^[1][2] The team battled threats to humanity such as the devil Mephisto and the mutant warlord Apocalypse,^[3] but ultimately disbanded - with some members perishing and others returning to their homelands.
